1. The retainer

Client retains Provider for ongoing [type of work, e.g., "design and development support"] services.

Each month includes:

• Up to [X] hours of work on tasks Client assigns, OR the following standing deliverables: [list them, e.g., "4 blog posts, 8 social graphics, 1 email campaign"]
• Response to requests within [1] business day
• A monthly summary of work completed

Not included: [e.g., "ad spend, stock photo licenses, work outside the service types above"]. Out-of-scope requests are quoted separately.

2. Price and payment

• Monthly fee: $[Amount], billed on the [1st] of each month, due within [7] days.
• The retainer reserves Provider's capacity, so the monthly fee is due whether or not Client assigns the full workload.
• Unused hours: [pick one — "expire at month end" / "up to X hours roll over one month, then expire"].
• Hours beyond the monthly allotment are billed at $[Rate]/hour, flagged to Client before Provider crosses the limit.
• If payment is more than [10] days late, work pauses until the account is current.

3. How requests work

Client sends requests via [email / project tool]. Provider schedules them in order of priority set by Client. Rush work (needed within [24] hours) may incur a [25]% rush fee, agreed before work begins.

4. Term and exit

• This retainer runs month to month.
• Either side may cancel with [30] days' written notice. Client pays in full for the notice period; Provider keeps working through it.
• Provider may raise the rate with [60] days' notice; Client may cancel before the increase takes effect.
